What are PTF themes?
PTF themes are themes that SONY has allowed for the PSP to support. Whenever SONY releases a new these on their side, it would be in PTF format. PTF themes are geberally small in size
and changes the icons of the PSP XMB(PSP cross media bar).
What are CTF themes?
CTF themes are themes that the PSP users created to change the look and feel of the PSP XMB completely. They first originated from flash0 modifications, which required modifications of the PSP
flash files, and put the users in risk of bricking their PSPs. But since the release of CXMB plugin, users are able to use CTF themes like PTF themes.
How can I tell which version of the CTF themes I am downloading?
ThemeSpot offers CTF themes for different version of custom firmwares. Starting from CFW 4.01m33, we decided to make identifying themes easier. When you see '(401)' or '(500)' behind a theme name,
it ususally means they are for CFW 4.01m33 and CFW 5.00m33 respectively. For a list of how to identify themes on ThemeSpot, please refer to the list below.
What will I need to be able to use CTF themes?
To use CTF themes, you will first need to install custom firmware on your PSP. Then, you need to download the right CXMB plugin for each custom firmware.
When I switched to a new CTF theme, the PSP rebooted, but the theme did not show up. What do I do?
Simply reboot your PSP again, and the theme should work.
Where do PSP themes go in the memory stick?
They go in the folder: PSP/THEME.
